    Assalamualaikum

Ghamidi sahab says that the concern of religion is to warn about afterlife, it’s concern is not state etc. Then why are there laws which state can apply only .e.g cutting hands on robbery etc if state is not a concern of religion?

Ghamidi Sahab says that concern of religion is to warn about afterlife and how to achieve tazkiya to be successful in that afterlife. All religious directives are linked to Tazkiya, but because of the nature of a few directives, they can only be implemented in a society through elected leaders.

These directives are not given to state, these are given to a Muslim ruler in his/her capacity as a ruler. i.e. if he / she is a ruler, they have to follow some additional directives like Jihad, Zakat collection and implementation of Hadood etc.
