    Assalamualaikum

Ghamidi sahab is against taqleed (following one school of thought),and he says that the opinion you think is stronger take that. But i)first this thing is not of everyone’s competency. That he checks every opinion he follows. So what should he do.And ii)second that out of opinions many people take that which is easiest one. Isn’t it like to play with religion (make religion a play) or following your own desire?

To take the easiest one, is not condemnable. God Himself gave us easier ways to adopt when we face some difficulty. He say that there is not Harj (hardship) in religion.

It is not difficult for a common man to compare two opinions on the basis of their argument. in fact, they do it every time, when they adopt an opinion. but in some case, they find incompetence to comprehend different arguments to reach a conclusion, they have only one way to go, that is to follow the scholar they find reliable. But in principle, they need no to follow any single authority blindly.

If we are truth seekers and follow our rationale, we should be fine in the hereafter. The accountability is not whether or not we died on the truth but it’s on whether or not we died seeking the truth no matter how far from the truth we strayed away in our truth seeking journey.
