Ghamidi Sahab's Educational Background
Salaam, I respect Javed Sahab and his students deeply and I understand a lot of people do propagate nonsense against his name. But I have heard a lot of people say that he has not studied in a madrasa or an islamic university like Al Azhar and he just holds a BA degree in English. How does it make him a scholar when he is not trained in classical islamic sources.

Ghamidi sahab’s alma mater includes B.A. Honors in English and Philosophy as well as M.A. in Philosophy. There’s no defined standard for scholarship in Islam that requires education from a madrasa or degree from a religious university. Ghamidi sahab self studied as well as directly learnt from other scholars including Amin Ahsan Islahi who was a student of Imam Farahi.
