    Assalamualaikum

There is sufi music which a person can take in both ways either in love if opposite genders or in sufistic love with God,what does Ghamidi sahab says about it?And there are some sentences in these type of songs which apparently sounds shirk, like of Nusrat Fateh,he is known as a sufi qawwal but e.g

نا نماز آتی ہے مجھ کو نا وضو آتا ہے

بس سجدہ کر لیتا ہوں جب تو سامنے آتا ہے

    And

Is masti mein aap ko khuda keh gay hain

Jo bhi keh gay hain baja keh gay hain

And also like saying oh Ali(R.A) help or help from the dead.

There’s nothing in the sources of Islam where declare absolute prohibition of Music. However, it is the application which determines its prohibition.

In Quran, such matters (i.e. ethical) are covered in Quran (7:33):

Say, “My Lord has only forbidden “fawahish” – what is apparent of them and what is concealed – and “ithm”, and “baghi”, and “shirk” for which He has not sent down authority, and “wa an taqulu a’lallahi ma la ta’lamoon”.

Therefore, any music which has elements of “Fawahish” and ” Shirk” is to be refrained from and falls within prohibited category:

The video shared in the following thread summarizes this response by Ghamidi Sahab in the context of understanding one Hadith of Bukhari:
