In Farhad Shafti’s article on hijab, a claim is made that the veil was taken by the women very late mostly after a few years after/before his death. Can you please offer the proof for this claim?
There is a Hadith in Bukhari where Ansar women were talking to the Prophet( SAW) and when Umar ibn Khattab came to the premises the women drew their veils on themselves. Is this hadith reported after the revelation of Surah Ahzab or Surah Nur? How is it that some women did not veil in front of the prophet but in front of Umar (RA)?
