Salaam brother. There is a thing that I need clarification for with regards to hijab.Suppose you are wearing a shirt to the office with a part of it tied in a knot exposing the belly.Your boss comes and says untie the not and spread the shirt on your belly because you cant expose the belly in the office. Now to comply to the rule you take off your shirt exposing your chest and everything and tie it around your belly. This would not be the right thing to do. Since the revelation came and the believers did not remove their khimars to cover their chests it becomes a mandate by religion to cover the head and the chest. How do you respond to this?

I am a student. Based on my understanding the soul of Quran’s message. For both genders, any act, gesture, statement or attire (based on prevalent culture) that tends to excite or invite other gender toward illegal acts or relationships is prohibited. If we keep that principal in mind, rest is not that difficult to understand
