    Quran 18:18 – Ashab-e-kahf And Mention Of Their Turning Sides While Asleep

    Allah could keep ashab-e-kahf alive without food or water and a lot of other necessities, why did Allah mention specifically about them turning sides in verse 18 of sura kahf? Why was that important to mention?

    To tell how much care Allah took to make this miracle happen. another example is of creating heavens and the earth 6 days. These details are to let us know, how much care Allah takes for certain task, so that we may realise its significance.

    Thank you Dr Irfan for your reply. But if they could stay alive for 300 years without other necessities for e.g. food and water, why was turning sides so important?

    Allah arranged that happening that way. They were hibernating. The rest of the things they needed like warmth of sun and turning sides were to keep their bodies sound.

    اس بارے میں کوئی یقینی بات معلوم نہیں۔ جنت میں بھی جانور ہوں گے۔ عین ممکن ہے کہ یہی دنیا کی جانور جنت میں پائے جائیں۔
