    Aslamu Alaikum,

Is it permissible to go on Umrah/Hajj if you have student loans to pay? If not, is it permissible if someone else pays for your Umrah/Hajj? Thank you in advance.

This is a matter of your own discretion. If you have plans to pay off your debt later, and want to avail an opportunity to perform Hajj or Umarah now, there’s no prohibition in doing so. But if you have to choose between going for Hajj / Umarah or to paying off your debt now, then paying off is the right option.
