  • Why Relationship Culture Is Haram If The Purpose Of Marriage Is To Raise Kids?

Posted by Muhammad Ahmad on December 23, 2021 at 7:52 am

    Background:

I saw other communities, they have the culture of relationships and while they are in relationship they considered themselves as a couple.

I saw that they are very loyal to each other. Sometimes when they have the differences they can live apart easily.

    Question:

My question is if the purpose of marriage is to announce your relationship and most importantly to raise kids.

Then why we cannot live in relationships (Because it’s also not private, people announced their relationship publicly) and get married when we want kids?

Why this is considered to be wrong in our culture especially, as well as prohibited in Islam?

Thank you for your reply. I have read all the threads and watch video which you have mentioned above.

Do you think at the age of 22, A person has the correct knowledge to choose his life partner for the whole life( Again WHOLE LIFE)? Or consider the age of 18, when young guys don’t have wisdom and sexual attraction is normal. People still cannot have Relationship without contract?

So if Young guys when they don’t have proper exposure of life, Don’t you think they will choose the wrong person for his/her life? And because he/she bounded in the contract they cannot easily separate because talaq is also considered as a very bad option.

(Please don’t say, involve parents for your life decisions)

Because of Islam’s sensitivity toward institution of marriage, sexual relationships before marriage have been prohibited under Sadd-e-Zariya.

As you have said before, watching pornographic content is also prohibited under Sadd-e-Zariya, does that mean watching it and doing the act before marriage is a sin of same intensity?

According to me no two sins can have equal intensity…as having sex outside marriage which is Haram…but if someone commit same act inside the masjid…the intensity of sin increases..it is according to me what I have understood … Moderators please clarify

No, they’re not sins of same intensity.

Indulging oneself in adultery in addition to being a sin, has also been declared a crime in Islam.

And someone who adopts adultery as a part of their life, have been given warnings of eternal hell in Quran.

Sadd-e-Zaria is the rationale behind certain prohibition, it doesn’t necessarily mean that intensity of all prohibitions under Sadd-e-Zaria is same.

Ahmed bhai whole purpose of marriage is providing legal rights to women and men..but it is more preffereable for women ..as after divorce also men has to take care of financial needs of women..In India if a guy have sex with girl before marriage …girl can easily charge rape case against boy..that he had sex in pretext of false promise of marriage(which is wrong as maybe earlier girl and boy did that act in consent).but this is how law works in favor of girls..society consider if guy is having sex with girl..then he is responsible for taking care for her..and even people who don’t follow Islam..prefer virgin girl…many people reject a girl for marriage If she is not virgin even if they don’t follow Islam.
