Ghamidi sahab says that ahkaam(orders from Allah) must be understood like what’s the reason(illat) behind it.But there is another which says that we should refrain from qiyas and ijtihad and follow what’s the zahari(apparent) meaning of Quran and Hadith and take daleel(their evidence) that Hadith in which Prophet SAW sent a group for war (i think to banu qurayzah) and said that you have to pray Asr there. So some prayed on the way saying that Prophet SAW said because he wanted that we reach there fastly, but some others of that group prayed Asr at night after reaching the destination acting upon the apparent meaning of saying of Prophet SAW.So people say that both school of thoughts are right. So why Ghamidi sahab says(as i have understood)it that the first one(finding the illat)is right only. What’s about that Hadith then?

Ghamdi sahib never said, we should abstain from qiyas and ijtihad. He meant that in the meaning and use of language, we can’t use qiyas and ijtihad. after taking meaning from an expression, then we start qiyas and ijtiahd.

in the above incident, the prophet gave concession to those who took the apparent meaning of the injunction of the prophet. but we know that the right approach is to find the reason. but since not all people adopt this approach, the prophet did not blame those who did not follow the reason but the apparent meaning. their intention too was pure.
