Riba In Investment
As Salam Alaikum,
Dear
I am doing a job in tobacco company in Pakistan. Every year company offered a investment scheme for employees and distributors to invest money in tobacco business and get profit of 2 to 2.5% per month. Company said they used this money to purchase extra tobacco from market at cheap rates during harvesting season and store for longer time. They used the additional investment for 6 months and give profit on monthly basis. Mostly they give 2.5% fixed profit every month.
I want to know is this investment comes under RIBA category? Is this Hala or Haram?
Plz give me clarity.

Profit sharing on investment is not riba. Riba is asking for profit on loan.
