Religion says the role of all prophets was of being a warner.

In Quran there are hundreds of ayahs where Almighty is warning us about Qiyamah and hell.

The overall big picture given to us by religion seems so pessimistic sometimes.

And many of religious scholars adds cherry on cake.

There seems so much of negativity in religion as presented by there’s religious thoughts.

The characteristic of fear is that it causes us to freeze or run.

That’s why some people remain so orthodox or stagnant in wordly affairs and some are rebelling in response to this.

This is quite saddening and confusing.

What is our counter thought it. What the clear picture that religion gives us?

People who are confused by such things are those who are yet to read a good translation of the Quran from cover to cover. Anyone can pick any passages from any book and blow them out of proportion to claim that they’re confused.

Everything must be understood in its due context. Where there are many verses of the Quran about punishment, there are many about reward as well. Prophets were sent as warners but they were also sent to deliver glad tidings to the believers.

The essence of religion is not fear, it is Ibadah. Ibadah is a very broader term encompassing almost every sphere of life and is a feeling and acknowledgement that emanates from within a human being and is manifested in one’s actions as an expression of one’s complete submissiveness to Allah. This requires some in-depth understanding of the word ‘ibadah’, which following two videos will greatly help in grasping it.
