    Assalamualaikum

How would we know that this order which was for Bani Israel has not abrogated and is for this Ummah also.e.g

    Al-Quran

    Surah No. 5 – Ayah No. 32

    Translation:

Therefore We ordained for the Children of Israel that he who slays a soul unless it be (in punishment) for murder or for spreading mischief on earth shall be as if he had slain all mankind; and he who saves a life shall be as if he had given life to all mankind. And indeed again and again did Our Messengers come to them with clear directives; yet many of them continued to commit excesses on earth.

At the start of this Aayah Allah said first “Therefore We ordained for the Children of Israel “,so how scholars concluded that this is applicable for this Ummah also?

“This law has always existed in the sharī‘ah of the prophets of God. The Jews are referred to here merely to highlight their callousness and unruliness.” (Al-Bayan)

But in principle, how do we know that this law which was for Israelis is still applicable for Muslim Ummah?

In addition to it having a universal ethical basis which cannot be denied, as far as words of Quran are concerned, something which kills the whole of humanity can never be specific to one nation. Secondly, the Islamic sharia on hadood-o-Tazeerat mentioned in Quran point to this fact also.

Since it is mentioned above, that shariah is the same for all the prophets and their nations, so it is self evident, the rule alluded to in the Quran is for the Muslim Ummah too. Argument is required for its exclusion, which is not available.

As i know shariah means law (al kitab) and according to Al Baqarah 106:

[They object: “Why do We alter the shari‘ah mentioned in the Torah.” Tell them:] Whichever verse [of this book] We abrogateor cause to be forgotten,We replace it [in the Qur’an] by a better one or one similar.Do you [O People!] not know that God has power over all things?

Yes Shariah means law. and the Law from God was same for every nation until God Himself changes it for some. when He does not change a law, it is understood that the same is for others too.
