It is mentioned repeatedly in the Quran, ‘Donot be deceived by their prosperity throughout the land’

Their is no discrimination in this regards. You can find a lot of poverty and struggling for survival among the disbelievers too.

There is no such discrimination, this is in accordance with the overall scheme of Tests and Trials as instututed by God in this world.
It is divided in two broad categories:
1) Law of trial and test that is generally faced by human beings.
2) A specific form of this law comes into play in the times of the rusul (Messengers) of God.
Therefore, the verses of Quran need to be studied with their proper context whether they relate to the former or the latter. Such verses usually relate to the latter type of the law which are specific to the addressees at the time of the Messenger of Allah.
