Reality Of Revelation On Prophet Muhammad (sws) And How Was That Preserved
Since revelation is the basis for Islamic philosophy and prophets sayings are the basis for our belief is it not imperative to throw some light on this subject. As per Quranic saying at times revelation happened between the Almighty and the prophet by way of a dialogue at other times it happened between the prophet’s and the Angels . My Question is how is it actually and how exactly it happened with our prophet Mohammed saws? How he preserved the same? How he compiled it in to a book? How a coherence happened between matters or sentences revealed at different times. There are so many people who wrote wonderful books by their own inspiration how is it different from this . How can we convince non believers that it’s different(a dialogue by Almighty) by logic and reasoning.

How revelation comes and reside in the heart of the prophet inexplicable because its like is never experienced by human beings other than prophets. this cannot be repeated
God says:
They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge.
(17:85)
All we can do it is to prove the outcome of the revelation, i.e., Quran to be the word of God, then its transcendental information can be believed.
after the revelation the prophet preserved the revelation in writing and let the people memorise it. Now starts the history of compilation of Quran which is documented well by Muhadditheen and historians. A good and authentic account of it can be found in the book of History of Quran by Dr Shehzad Saleem.
