Jazakallah for the links bro. I’m blessed enough to be offering Umrah in this bountiful month and unfortunately during my 1st umrah after finishing all the rituals, i had my hair cut from only 3 sides as i didn’t know much about it and there was a guy who was cutting like.that for everyone, i know now that a complete shave or a haircut is mandatory but do i need to atone for this through dumm or will my mistake be forgiven as it was done out of ignorance or lack of knowledge?

Both head shaving and trimming of hair are allowed. No penalty is to be imposed.
