According to Ghamidi Sahib, women are not obliged to come to mosque to say prayer, they are preferred to say their prayers at home:

“Women, however, are exempted from this directive. For them the sunnah is that they can come to the mosque for the prayer but the prayer offered at home is better for them. The Prophet (sws) is reported to have said: “Do not stop your women from coming to the mosque, but they should know that it is more appropriate for them to pray at home.” [Al-Bukhari, Al-Jami‘ al-sahih, 140-141, (nos. 865, 873); Muslim, Al-Jami‘ al-sahih, 186, (no. 990); Ibn Khuzaymah, Sahih, vol. 3, 92, (no. 1683)]

The reason behind this concession might be the woman were supposed to be less active out of their houses. So they were allowed to say prayer at home.

Well. Now at this point in time, a concept of self dependency is promoting in all over the world. Women are as much active as men are. Isn’t best for woman to pray at mosques. When they are active like men. Additionally, in our culture markets are more populated by women than men. I don’t think now there is any excuse for not praying in mosque.

Yes, if some women are as active as men in the society, they may be asked to say prayer at mosque.
