وعن جابر قال: سُئل رسولُ الله عن زيد بنِ عمرو بن نُفَيل أنَّه كان يستقبل القِبلةَ في الجاهليَّة، ويقول: إلهي إلهُ إبراهيم، وديني دينُ إبراهيم، ويَسجد، فقال رسول الله: ((يُحشَرُ ذاك أمَّةً وحدَه بيني وبين عيسى ابن مَريم)).
رواه النسائي في السنن الكبرى (8187)، وحسنه الحافظ ابن كثير؛ انظر: البداية والنهاية (2/ 241).
The Messenger of God was asked about Zaid bin Amr bin Nufail that he used to face the Qiblah in the pre-Islamic period, and he said: My God is the God of Abraham, and my religion is the religion of Abraham, and he used to prostrates. The Messenger of God said: “He will be gathered as a nation between me and Jesus Son of Maryam.”

Thanks! But from this it doesn’t seem as if he was an agnostic, but rather a pure monotheist so I don’t understand why Ghamidi Sb quoted, can you clarify?

He was not aware of the truth. Agnostic too is unaware and uncertain of the truth.
