Why women and man can pray in congregation (standing to gather in a row side by side) in Masjid Haram, while it is not allowed in any other local mosques.

It is allowed for women to come to mosque. It had been in practice in the time of the prophet (PBUH). later, this practice ceased due to local cultural norms as men did not like their women to go outside home or gather in a place where there are men. The practice is still alive in Masjid e Haram and this practice should be followed by the Muslims for their local mosques.

Thank you so much for the answers Dr. Irfan Shazad and Umer Qureshi could you explain “there is a hadith in Termidi (أَقِیمُوا الصُّفُوفَ وَحَاذُوا بَینَ المنَاکِب، وسُدُّوا الخَلَلَ،) and in Bukhari it adds that even once shoulder should touch others shoulder and feet should touch others feet while praying in congregation. could you explain this if there is a women beside a man …still they can stand as the above hadith says?”
