Quran 5:82 – Does This Verse Apply To Jews Of Today's Time As Well?
۞ لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَ ٰوَةࣰ لِّلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلۡیَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِینَ أَشۡرَكُوا۟ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقۡرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةࣰ لِّلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِینَ قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّا نَصَـٰرَىٰۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قِسِّیسِینَ وَرُهۡبَانࣰا وَأَنَّهُمۡ لَا یَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ﴿ ٨٢ ﴾
• Dr. Mustafa Khattab:
You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and polytheists and the most gracious to be those who call themselves Christian. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not arrogant.
Al-Ma’idah, Ayah 82

This verse specifically refers to the enmity of the Jews of the time of the prophet and same specification of love and compassion of christians that is a particular group called Nasaara goes for the that community of the time of the prophet.
The enmity or good relations with present time nations and communities have their own reasons and causes.
