    This is a general instruction of war. another instructions was to accept the offer of peace agreement from the enemies. but in the final verdict, all the agreement was declared null, except for those which were time bound. and also mentioned no peace agreement would be made with the idolaters. so in the last, all adult idolaters were to be perished. However women were spared in hope that since they were supposed to be under the guardianship of their males, they might become Muslims once their idolater men were eliminated or converted to Islam.
