Ghamidi Sb says that Allah does Natural Disasters to gather ‘death’ at one point so people may pay heed to it. This is such a flawed logic, everyone knows that one day they are going to die and most people have experienced a death in their life time to time.

And what does it achieve? Do the ones who never prayed before it start praying after it? Or the ones who lied stop it?

And the non muslim countries? Do they start believing?

And if creating a ‘news’ is the purpose so people pay attention then it would be far better to kill a famous person who the whole world knows. Khabar bnjayegi.

It’s a futile effort to make something completely meaningless meaningful.

The nature of the test in this world requires that God doesn’t reveal Himself in a conclusive manner or compel anyone to believe. However, He still provides enough data to where anyone with a sound mind and a sincere heart must necessarily conclude His existence.

There’s nothing flawed about the logic. When natural disasters take place, it’s quite natural for people to pay heed and wonder about death in a more profound manner than usual.

Well, the country noticed when Amir Liaquat passed away and most are unaware of the calamities going on in Baluchistan every day these days. So, God is flooding so many and still not achieving the level of attention he wants. Looks counter productive.

Without having any reliable data as to how many may or may not have paid heed as a result of any particular event, I think that one should not speculate.

Twitter trends count. You can see the difference yourself. Secondly, it’s apparent that attention will be only on what the media will choose to narrate, so in a way, what God wants to achieve is tied to Media’s strategy. The world would remain aware of the hundreds of families wiped off in the floods but everyone notice if a famous actor or politician gets into an accident or dies. So, God’s plan of getting people to pay attention to death looks like a failure. It might work when there is some very large scale damage somewhere but all these isolated natural disasters, what do they achieve?

They perhaps achieve the same result at a smaller or a local scale. I’m not sure how you can expect anyone who seriously contemplates upon death as a result of disasters to tweet about their personal journeys, especially when everyone is at a different stage in their journey.

What Ghamidi sahab has stated is a completely rational conclusion given the empirical evidence that people generally get shaken up by such disasters and are forced to think about life and death more profoundly than usual. He doesn’t claim to read the mind of God. If someone has a better justification then there’s no harm in accepting it.
