Salam.I am in Canada as an international student. I got a part-time job in a halal restaurant. According to the law of canada, they have to take some of my personal information (for example SIN number, account number) for taxes.

My question is that if they dont take any required personal information according to Law, Am I allowed to work over there? is it permissible?

my second question regarding this is that some desi halal restaurants sometimes give permission to international students to work more than 20 hours per week (which is illegal in Canada).

In my case, if my restaurant allows international students to work more than 20 hours per week. Am I allowed to work in that restaurant even if I myself don’t do anything illegal and work below 20 hours per week.

    Regards

In principle, you are not responsible for what they do. You do your job and leave them to what they do. Unless it is a public crime, then you may bring it in the notice of the authorities.
