Prohibition comes with some reason or cause. If there is Fuhash (vulgarity or obscenity) or Shirk or Zulm or Transgression, or innovation in Deen (see verse 7: 33 for the criteria of Haram) slandering etc then it is haram otherwise not. Now it is the person to decide according to his conscience, cultural norms and literary merits that something fall in the category mentioned or not.
