Assalamualaikum
What does Ghamidi sahab says about that in the Old Testament it feels like the God is very strict and do this and that and don’t do this and that otherwise you will be punished but in the New Testament, the God feels to be a Good and Merciful God ?

These are all attributes of God and sometimes mentioning of one attribute is more relevant in a particular situation and sometimes the other.
