  • Sahih Muslim 7194 – Veil

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: “Two are the types amongst the denizens of Hell, the one possessing whips like the tail of an ox and they flog people with their help. (The second one) the women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps. These women would not get into Paradise and they would not perceive the odour of Paradise, although its frag- rance can be perceived from such and such distance (from great distance).” – Sahih Muslim 7194

This hadith and many other hadiths like this one, clearly indicates the obligation of veil, what’s the opinion of Ghamidi Sb. (ha) about this matter, please clarify.

Obligation of veil is not discussed in the referenced narration. This narration is referring to indecent dressing for the purpose of seducing others, such as generally done by prostitutes.

@faisalharoon “the women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps.” seems to be referring that the women will seduce men by making their hairs high in the hijab, just like the camel’s humps, Kindly clarify.

I am not sure what is there to clarify. How does “hair high like humps” implicate hijab? Even if it can be shown that the narration is specifically referring to hijab, how does it make hijab a compulsion for Muslim women when the narration is in the context of immoral women?

Missing the focus of a given narration and picking things out of context is not the proper way to understand any hadith narration.

some scholars argue about that type of clothing in the hijab.
