My question is whenever I call upon God in prayers or dua there comes images in my mind. Not voluntary but my mind creates and I’m sure all people have that.

I hope this is not shirk as I obviously believe that God has no image and can not be grasped by vision and there is nothing like Him. But whenever I try not to think about the images sometimes focus goes there . Would that be shirk or sinfull? Because I can not help it but imagine , sometimes when I did prayer in the past to God I got an image of old wise man with white beard and hair you know like in the mythologies ZEUS like character. I have no intention to believe that is God but it just appears. Is it waswasa from satan to me or just human nature?

Kindly guide me someone in this issue.

    Thank you.

Images of God naturally form in our minds and there is nothing wrong with it. However, one should not believe that God looks like anything conceivable. Also with a bit of conscious effort and practice one can imagine the presence of God without any images.
