Dajjal claiming to be Jesus is one of the more plausible explanations considering the current scenario among different religious sects. Ghamidi Sahab is also of view that ahadith give an impression that he might also claim to be God. Either way, what can be said with some certainty is that He will cause a great deception in challenge to God and it will be of gigantic proportions.
It is a known practice of prophets to prophesize about the future to their nation i.e. regarding Qiyamah, the last prophet, important events that will unfold after them etc. and evidence of this can be found in old scriptures as well. Similarly, Dajjal being the biggest fitna of his time is not something to be skipped by a Prophet while prophesizing about the end of times. Therefore, it is more likely than not that Prophet Noah had also said somethings about deception of Dajjal.
The mentioning of Prophet Noah specifically could have two reasons:
– One is that he is known as the first father of humans after the flood (‘adam-e-sani‘), hence his reference makes sense in this context that people have had been told about this fitna right after the flood starting from Noah (sws).
– Second reason could be that in Ahadith, Prophet Noah has been used as a reference to descendants of ‘Yafit’ (or Gog Magog), since prophets came in descendants of ‘Ham‘ and ‘Sam‘ at later times, but descendants of yafit did not have any prophets sent to them directly therefore, they are linked directly with Prophet Noah and referenced as nation of Noah or people of Noah in certain Ahadith as well (for instance: https://sunnah.com/bukhari:3339). The context would be to include every nation in the prophecy.
