Self Respect Versus Arrogance
How can we have tawazun in our zàat, realizing our gifts/talents and using them to their full potential while still avoiding arrogance from entering our personality and staying humble and grateful to god. Ghamidi sahb cites arrogance as one of the two greatest imtehaan or challenge a person’s nafs can face (the other being jins ki jabilat), giving in to either of which could lead to a potentially slippery slope which after some time could even hamper’s one aqal. Please guide regarding this issue.
