Importance Of Arabic Language To Understand Islam
I am a student and want to investigate issues concerning Arabic language learning for non-Arab Muslims with special reference to Pakistan. I would really appreciate it if respected Ghamidi Sahib could give me his opinion on the question- Had Arabic been given the status of a national language (in Pakistan) instead of Urdu, it would have helped people in general to develop a better understanding of the Holy Quran and would have contributed to overcome linguistic differences. Please do suggest some books that I can read on the topic.

Ghamidi sahab is of the view that three languages have become dominant in our religious literature: Arabic, Urdu, and Persian. As long as someone has a good grip on any of these three languages then they can study our religion at a much deeper level. For a common person, it’s recommended that they learn Arabic but it is sufficient that they read any good translation of the Quran in any language if learning Arabic is not possible.
