    Aoa,

My understanding is that Allah has sent us to this world to live life based on a system of trial, with free will, to be then rewarded or punished in the afterlife.

In this framework, what is the utility of Dua? What does a Dua do? We know that all Dua’s are not answered (take example of people dying with hunger, people getting killed). Does Allah intervene in our lives? If yes, what are the rules around it?

If He doesn’t intervene, it’s fine – but that would make Dua redundant

    Thank you,
