Intent Of Exiting Prayer During Taslim
Asalamualaikum,
I heard that one must have the intention to exit prayer while performing Taslim at the end of prayer. Is this true? It seems a bit difficult to form an intention while simultaneously performing Taslim, as you are speaking words at the same time.

The intention is already there, brother, you need not make it formally.

JazakAllah Dr. Irfan Shahzad. That’s what I was thinking too. Everyone recites prayer consciously, so the intention will naturally be there already. I’m not sure why the ‘intention of exiting’ prayer was listed as a condition for the fulfillment of prayer, when it’s always there.
