اہل عرب ان تماثیل اور تصویروں کو تشکیل دے کر درحقیقت انسانوں، فرشتوں اور جنوں جیسی زندہ مخلوقات کو تخلیق کرنے کے زعم میں مبتلا ہو گئے تھے اور اس طرح اپنے تئیں اللہ کی تخلیق جیسی تخلیق کرنے کی جسارت کر رہے تھے ۔
Can get a little elaboration on “creating like Allah creates.” Like it’s right that polytheists used to make statues/pictures and accepted”souls”in them and made them a partner in Allah’s adjective of “Creator” and that’s a lie on God. Till here it’s accepted, but how does it (making statues and accepting souls in them even though God hasn’t said that) become “making a creation like Allah creates?” “یخلق خلقا کخلقی”

In their imagination or fantasy, they created a thing like that of God. This is shirk. Shirk is all about fantasy.

Just a little confusion here, like God creates things without any precedent. A whole new thing which never existed before, that is Creation which God does, while humans can’t think of anything new. Even those polytheistic statues they are a combination of things which we see around us e.g that elephant hanuman, monkey statue etc. Then how does this become “creating like Allah Creates”?

Of course, they created nothing in this sense, but they imagined a being, then crafted and carved its image and believed it to be alive and made others believe in it, hence they erected a being. This act is called that they create like the creation of God.
