  Types Of Revelation

  Assalamualaikum Sir,

  Is revelation (wahi) of two types. And one is recited (wahi matlu) and another is unrecited or (wahi gair matlu)…? The first one is the Quran while as the second one is Hadees…?

  This categorisation is not apt. The prophet used to receive other messages from God, in addition to Quran. Some of them he narrated. But they are a few. Not all ahadith are wahi.

  How can we know those the few messages….Are they identified out of the whole chunk of Ahadees…?

  Yes, they are identified as in which some metaphysical information is given, like the paradise, hell, and other affairs of the above world. The details of the practices of Islam, that is, Sunnah were revealed to the prophet that are not mentioned in Quran.
