Hadith On Memorizing 40 Ahadith
I found many times on internet about 40 hadees. I dont understand what is this. And there is different author for their 40 hadees. Would u clarify

The idea of collection of 40 Ahadith come from a weak report which says:
مَنْ حَفِظَ عَلَی أُمَّتِي أَرْبَعِیْنَ حَدِیْثًا فِیْمَا یَنْفَعُهُمْ مِنْ أَمْرِ دِیْنِهِمْ، بَعَثَهُ ﷲُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَةِ مِنَ الْعُلَمَاءِ، وَفَضْلُ الْعَالِمِ عَلَی الْعَابِدِ سَبْعِیْنَ دَرَجَةً، اَللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا بَیْنَ کُلِّ دَرَجَتِیْنِ.
أخرجه البیهقي في شعب الإیمان، 2/ 270، الرقم: 1725
’’جس شخص نے میری اُمت (کے اَفراد) کے لئے چالیس ایسی احادیث کو محفوظ کیا جو انہیں ان کے دین کے معاملہ میں نفع پہنچائیں، تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے روزِ قیامت علماء کے درجہ میں اٹھائے گا، اور عالم کی عابد پر ستر درجے فضیلت ہے، اور اللہ ہی بہتر جانتا ہے کے ہر دو درجوں میں کتنا فاصلہ ہے۔‘‘
This is not an authentic hadith but in our tradition a weak hadith is acceptable in the matters of Fazail. However, to us, no weak hadith can be accepted in the name of the prophet. It is a great responsibity to ascribe a saying to the prophet. A weak hadith sometime affect the whole frame religion and distorts the concpet of God as given by Quran.
