Salam every year I submitted som money to life insurance of pakistan . It’s been 12 years every year I gave money . Whatever in 12 years I have given . Do I consider it as my saving n give zakat . Although y i didn’t get anything from there yet… in addition

The principle is that for zakat to be due on an asset, it has to be at one’s disposal (tassaruf). If an asset is contractually tied up, as in the example of insurance, then zakat doesn’t become due until distribution.
