    hello there!

my question consists of 2 parts, 1st part is that is iftar and sehri in and of itself an ibadah? or is sehri just like a normal meal that is taken just before the time of fast begins, which also helps in keeping a good health and still hunger better during the hours of fasting? and similarly iftar being a meal that is taken after we are allowed to eat after passing of fasting hours? and both of these meals were taken by prophet and are like a uswa of prophet?

2nd part is that is both of these meal Sunnah muttawatir?, and/or an ibadah in and of itself? fasting is ibadah, but is sehri and iftar also ibadah? or one of the things that prophet used to do?

Taking meals is not the sunnah we consider as sunnah but the concomitant of fasting to facilitate the state of fasting. Such natural acts are not considered sunnah in our discourse.

Since we bother ourselves with getting up and preparing these meals because we keep fast to please God, so the whole act becomes ibadah and pleasing to God.
