The ritual of Qurbani is not for charity. It has its own significance. It is the symbol of sacrificing oneself to God. It shows one’s relationship with God. However, it is a nafl prayer.
On the other hand, helping Muslim brothers and other human beings is an act of great reward. If necessity demands one should donate to them as much as one can. However, one needs not to replace one act of worship with another. Every act should be given its due importance.
