Ghamidi Sb. Opinion On The Controversial View Of Imam Abu Hanifah About Alcohol?
Asselamu aleykum,
What’s the opinion of Ghamidi Sb. (ha) on Imam Abu Hanifa’s (ra) controversial view, in which he regarded the intoxicants made from grape and dates as explicitly prohibited. while, Intoxicants made from honey, fig, wheat, barley, etc as only forbidden when the last cup leads to intoxication? Because, According to him, the Quran only prohibited wine in Suratul Maidah ayet 90.
Kindly clarify, and please tell us the terminological meaning of “Al-Khamr” in the Qur’anic Arabic, does it mean “wine” or it refers to all “intoxicants”?
