Assalam o Alaikum. I wanted to know if a person’s rizq prewritten because I’ve heard this from a lot of elders while growing up.

It is a two-way phenomenon. God ordains for Rizq as well as leaves it to the person to make efforts to get it. Now one’s efforts may or may not succeed in the world of cause and effect which work on their own. However, wherever God wills, He interferes to direct the circumstance in favour of or against a person. Therefore, we not only make efforts but also pray to God to help us and make our efforts successful.
