    Asselamu aleykum wa rehmatullahe wabarakatuhu,

Are Pride and arrogance (which leads us to become oppressive and arrogant) explicitly prohibited in Islam, or their case is same as Sadd-e-Zaria, which could further leads to Zina?

    Kindly clarify.

Pride in its negative connotation and arrogance means to look down upon others and thus feel a sense of superiority. This in itself an evil, and therefore, prohibited.

But, sir, lusting after someone’s sister, daughter, or mother is also a evil thing, then why it is not explicitly prohibited?

    Kindly clarify.

It is explicitly prohibited in the name of Fawahis and declared Haram in many places in the Quran. Quran prescribes only five punishments for crimes, and this is one of them.

    See verse: 7: 33, 24: 1
