Permissibility Of Job In A Gas Station And Its Effects On Climate Change
Assalaam aleykum
Question :
Is it haram to work in a gas station or petrol pump and in any other industry that make/produce or use petrol, fuel, gas ecc.? Because gas, petrol, fuel ecc.. have very negative impact on the environment… they are one of main reasons for the climate change.
Climate change is very dangerous for human beings and for animals too…
So my question was, it is permissible for me to work there or not ? because working there we are participating in “hurting” human beings, animals and nature too…

Using any fuel causes damage to the environment, even if it is simple wood. Moreover, there is no primary intention in it to cause damage to the environment. It is inevitable and inevitable and cannot be avoided. So one can work at a gas station.
