  • Thoughts About Bodily Impurity And Transfer Of Impurity

Assalamu Alaikum, There have been constant/continuous thoughts of things becoming napaak or need to be washed. Please ans these 2 scenarios for help:

    1) What is we wash our private part, and dry it with cloth, and after a while we see kind of wetness there like very little. We wash the cloth and wash private part again and this becomes difficult and time consuming. So, what is the islamic ruling here if this keeps on happening almost every time?

    2) If we touched the door with Napaak hands with wetness. now what if after 2 or 3 days, a child suddenly comes who usually have sweaty hands, and he touches that area of door to close it, and then he comes and touch the laptop and chair. My question is, Do we have to wash/clean that area of chair and laptop?

Please answer these thoughts and concerns Jazak ALLAH

    1) If there is a strong reason in the background (like mani or madhi) which is giving rise to subsequent wetness then it is better to wait for some time and wash for once properly after it all clears in some time. But if there is no such reason for this kind of wetness then after proper cleaning, subsequent wetness should be ignored and there could be some water droplets that remained which must be causing this wetness. (Please see for related discussions: Discussion 67585)

    2) If there is something tangible or something which has clear smell, then yes it should be cleaned but if it is something invisible without smell then mere doubts should be ignored. (Please see for further details: Discussion 80464)

Assalamu Alaikum Umer bhai, what if the person don’t even remember that the impure hand (with wetness) touched which place of the door. Now since the time has gone, the door is dry, now what if a child comes and he is wet because of his sweat, like sweaty hands as some people normally have, if he touches that part of the door that has this radius of the possibility of the impurity, then if he comes and touch on the chair, and then the person touches that part of the chair (resting hands on that), will become impure??

If an impurity cannot been seen or felt clearly, then the person is under no obligation to search for impurity at microscopic level. Remember that Islam doesn’t require you to burden yourself beyond your capacity.
