  • Are Women Still Accountable For Their Domestic Duties?

Posted by Sevda Koksal on July 1, 2023 at 4:27 am

Islam has truly divided the responsibilities of men and women in the institution of marriage. As men are responsible for earning and women are for household chores/domestic duties. (ofcourse they are allowed to flip their jobs but they would held accountable if not to fulfil their given duties). Now in modern era eaening is huge problem than domestic problems that’s why women has to do earning jobs.My question is that are women still responsible for their only domestic duties or is there any change in their duties due to modern era?

There is no such division of social responsibilities in Isalm, except for men, who are responsible to provide for their wives. This is our social and financial situation which decides what role one should play, Islam does not need to tell here what functions one should perform. This has to be decided by mutual understanding.
