    I ve a question….

If a Muslim , becomes atheist just because on honest bases he is not satisfied by the available arguments for the existence of God….

Meanwhile he/she decides that he/she will certainly follow all the ethics being introduced by Islam but not in the sense of obedience to Allah rather in the sense of just being a good person having righteous moralities….

Whats the ruling in islam for such condition….

Do.all.the good deeds or moralities would have any worth as there is not orientation for God obedience but just a will to be an upright person

Ghamidi saheb writes in his book Meezan:

“people who are only after this world, live and die for it and are absolutely indifferent to the Hereafter are given whatever worldly benefits the Almighty wants to give them, and then their account is settled by Him in this very world and they are rewarded or punished right in this world on the basis of their deeds:

    مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لاَ يُبْخَسُونَ (15:11)

We recompense in this world the deeds of those who desire the life of this world with all its finery, and they are not given less in it in any way. (11:15)
