Before the creation of Adam/Human, were the jins already in exam? Is Iblees the first of the Shayateen? Did the number of shayateen multiply over time? Are shayateen under the exam of Allah as they are also jin in nature?

Word Satan or Shaitan is an adjective which refers to something which has evil attributes and this word can apply to both humans and jinns. We know from Quran that Jinns were living before human beings and they have also been put through a test in this world for which they will be held accountable on the day of judgement. We can also infer from Quran that Iblis being a representative/leader of Jinns was the one who disobeyed the command of God under his pride. However, we do not know any further detail regarding their actual numbers and how they populate (i.e. the Jinns).
