Permissibility Of Forex Trading
سر میں اپنا سوال مختصر کرکے دوبارہ پیش کر رہا ہوں۔
انٹرنیٹ پر آن لائن فاریکس ٹریڈنگ کی جاتی ہے ۔ اس ٹریڈنگ میں دنیا کی کسی بھی کرنسی کے علاؤہ آئل (تیل)، سونا، چاندی، تانبا، لوہا اور دوسری بہت ساری اشیا کی خریدوفروخت ہوتی ہے۔
برائے مہربانی مندرجہ ذیل دو حوالوں سے اس ٹریڈنگ کے جائز یا ناجائز ہونے کے بارے میں بتادیں :
1- کچھ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ جس چیز کی ٹریڈنگ کی جارہی ہے اس کا قبضہ میں ہونا ضروری ہے۔ انکا استدلال اس حدیث پر ہے :
من اتباع طعاماً فلا يبعه حتی يقبضه.
(صحیح مسلم، 2 : 13)
جس نے کسی سے طعام (یا کوئی اور شے) خریدی تو اس وقت تک آگے فروخت نہ کرے جب تک اس پر قبضہ نہ حاصل کر لے۔
چونکہ آن لائن ٹریڈنگ میں خریدی گئی چیزوں کا فزیکل قبضہ نہیں لیا جاتا ہے اس لئے یہ ٹریڈنگ حرام ہے۔
2- کرنسی کی خریدوفروخت اس نیت سے کہ اس کی قیمت بڑھ جائے تو فروخت کردوں اور کم ہو جائے تو خرید لوں کیا جواء اور سٹہ نہیں ہے ؟؟

Regarding point-2, please note that my question is not about currency exchange in general. In general, people exchange currency for travel or for import/export purpose or to safeguard from currency devaluation etc which is clearly justified.
My question is from trading the currency on a large scale without any real need, to make it a purely commodity trade. It does not aim to engage in the production or trading of real commodity. And the owner of money continues to get easy wealth just by buying and selling currency without getting involved in real economy and trade.
It should be noted that according to an estimate, the volume of currency trade in the world is ten times more than the volume of the world’s total production trade. The world’s major banks make billions of dollars by massively influencing currency prices and harming ordinary consumers.
My question is related to such currency trading which is usually done through online forex trading.

Forex trading done in the normal course of business is not objectionable, but if hoarding of currency (or any other immoral means) is done to influence exchange rates irrespective of the consequences to the economy or other individuals, then this is definitely an immoral way to make gains and should be avoided by an individual Muslim. Usually states have strict regulations in place to counter this kind of currency hoarding. As long as there is no element of deceit/fraud/usurpation of other’s wealth, there cannot be any objection on Forex trading done in the normal course of business.
