  On behalf of my friend living in USA I ask

  1)” Is it permissible in islam to redeem rewards of credit card “?

  There is nothing wrong in utilizing Credit Card because the late surcharge charged on credit balance after lapse of the due date does not fall in the definition of Riba. Neither is there any prohibition on redeeming rewards offered against usage of Credit Card.
