Why Bismillah Over Surah Lahab When It Is Also About Wrath?
My understanding is that all surah in the Quran begin with Bismillahi Rahman ArRaheem except for Surah Tawbah because Surah Tawbah is the Surah of Azaab. It is a declaration of a verdict by Allah Subhan u wa Ta’ala. So, as such it does not suit for such a chapter to begin by proclaiming Allah’s Mercy and Beneficence.
But isn’t the subject of Surah Masad also the declaration of a similar verdict? There is no aspect of Mercy in Surah Masad.
I would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on this.
