    It is Satan. Kindly refer to the tafsie al bayan by ghamidi saheb and Islahi Saheb for the word Taghoot.

    Al-Taghut and Al-Shaytan are used synonymously in the Quran: they refer to someone who is arrogant and rebellious before the Almighty. The opposite of this is humility and modesty.
